After much searching I could not find the answer, but this appears to be due to the fact that there is hardly any support for my car even though my car is still relatively young. The fact that the manufacturer has stopped building these cars means that there is virtually nowhere to go if you want information about your vehicle. Fortunately, OBD department store was able to help me and I expect that I can now read out useful information with this dongle.
